Congrats on taking the first step towards your life together. It goes without saying this is a wonderful time in life. Thinking about your future together is no longer a dream, now it's a plan. Of course one of the first things you get to plan together is your wedding.
At Luz Photography, engagement sessions are included in all of our wedding packages. If you're not ready to commit to a wedding photographer just yet, an engagement session can serve as an interview where you get to try us out. Of course if you do choose us to be your wedding photographers, you will get a credit towards your package since your engagement session is already done.

Where can we take our photos?
Our studio is located at 26 Union Street, Suite 1, in Rockville, CT. At our studio we have access to a few nice outdoor locations that are listed below. On location sessions can be done pretty much anywhere we are legally allowed to be. There is a $1 per 1 way mile fee for anywhere more than 20 miles from the studio. So a location 30 miles from my studio is just a $10 fee. Just a few of my favorite locations within 20 miles include:

My favorite on location site in CT outside the 20 miles is Harkness memorial state park in Waterford, CT. This location is absolutely stunning and just a $44 travel fee.
The Process
1. The Consultation
The consultation can be as simple as a quick phone call or as in depth as a visit to the studio to detail every aspect of what you are looking for. It's all up to you. For potential wedding clients we like to meet in person or at least do a video chat. Weddings are all so different, we like to take the time to find out what YOU want from your wedding photographer.
2. Book Your Session
Once you decide when and where you want your session, just pay a $50 deposit (which goes toward the total cost of your session) and you're ready to go.
3. Strike a Pose
Time for your session! Don't forget to bring any outfit changes and props you wanted to include. Relax, and just be yourself!
4. Pick Your Favorites
Within 48 hours of your session you will receive your proofs. These are all unedited images from your session. Each session includes 20 images. If you want more than what's included, the price for additional images will be included in the email with your proofs.
5. Download and Share
Once you have picked all of your favorites, please allow up to 2 weeks for all of the final edits to be done. Your finished images will be sent to you via email to a password protected online web album for you to download.
FAQs
Can we go to more than 1 location?
Yes, Travel fees apply if they are far apart. If you choose us as your wedding photographer, we typically waive these travel fees.
What if 20 images is not enough?
You have the option to purchase more after your session. Again, if you choose us as your wedding photographer, we include more than 20 images from your engagement session.
Can we bring our dog?
Absolutely, as long as we are using a location where dogs are allowed. We do recommend bringing a family member or friend along to watch the dog for photos they are not included in.
A nice sunset photo is very important, Can we do that?
The best way to do this is pick a 1-2 week window you want your photos done. As we get close, we will look at weather patterns and try to pick the best day for a nice sunset. Keep in mind weather can change quickly and 1 cloud passing for the wrong 5 minutes can ruin what was going to be a great sunset. There are no guarantees but we will do our best and we are pretty good at it.
Can we order our save the dates through you?
Yes, save the dates are one of the many products we offer.
